He was born and raised in Somerville, Tennessee, the son of Gary and Patsy Rich. They instilled in him the values of service, faith, discipline, and family. He has been married to his wife Stacey for seven years. He is uniquely qualified because of his law enforcement background, his education, and his small business experience. Barrett has been endorsed by State Representative Dolores Gresham and former Governor Winfield Dunn.
